Asked about The rounds that are not about code

Are we allowed to use an AI assistant in this interview?

An answer that works

Ask this of the recruiter before the loop, in writing, for each round, because the rules differ by company and by round within one company. Asking on the day is fine but late; assuming in either direction is the actual risk.

Then they push further

You are told to use one and the interviewer is watching. What does good look like?

State the intent before each prompt, ask for the specific piece you have decided on rather than the whole problem, read the output and say what you are checking, and catch the thing it got wrong. Saying when you are not using it, and why, counts for as much as using it well.

Reading an answer is not being able to give one. The section that teaches this is The rounds that are not about code, 4 hours of Interviewing well.
